Jacob moved to Central Florida at age 8. At an early age he developed a desire for sports and the outdoors. While living in Michigan he was a member of his downhill ski team in 1996 & 1997. He was a very enthusiastic fisherman and he especially loved fishing with his grandfather. His love for people was abundant and if you had the privilege of meeting Jake - he left a lasting image.
He was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Community church. Jake played in numberous basketball leagues in Central Florida. His DREAM was to be a NBA star. At one time, he was a very talented and active soccer player for Central Florida United Soccer Club. However, he gave it up for his love of basketball.
He was an Honor roll student at Lawton Chiles Middle school. Even though Jake played a few pranks at school it was a place where he LOVED to be. His last report card was all A's. He especially enjoyed Math. Jake had such a creative mind.
After 9/11 Jake went to New York & Washington DC to "help" people as Jake put it. His compassion for people was unbelievable!
Every summer he looked forward to traveling back to Michigan where he played in Gus Macker basketball tournaments, attended Ferris State basketball camp, rode four wheelers with his cousins, and visited old friends.
